Numismatic Chronicle

The Royal Numismatic Society (RNS) is a learned society and charity based in London, United Kingdom which promotes research into all branches of numismatics. Its patron as of 2014 was Queen Elizabeth II. The society was founded in 1836 as the Numismatic Society of London and received the title "Royal Numismatic Society" from Edward VII by Royal Charter in 1904. The society has an annual journal, The Numismatic Chronicle, and publishes a book series known as the Special Publications [Wikipedia].

First series, 1838-1857, in 20 vols.
New (second) series, 1861-1880, in 20 vols.
Third series, 1881-1900, in 20 vols.
Fourth series, 1901-1920, in 20 vols.
Fifth series, 1921-1940, in 20 vols.
