Remainder. PCGS Choice New 63 Apparent. This type is seen only unissued. Striking Danforth, Wright & Co. details. Clay is at bottom center in an immense die, with a tall gray "1" on either side. Noted with "Internal Tear and Adhesive Residue at Right." New Albany, IN - Southern Bank $10 March 10, 1859 IN-470 G8. Remainder. PCGS Very Fine 25. A classic Ormsby type, favored by many of the charlatans plaguing Indiana banking. With a plain back. A train travels across the center. Terre Haute, IN - Bank of the State of Indiana, Branch at Terre Haute $1 Contemporary Counterfeit July 1, 1857 IN-2 C258a. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. Contemporary fakes afflicted the Bank. In this case, the back is more convincing. The face's red color tint is vibrant, but it lets the poor portrait details stand out. Noted with "Paper Scuffs on Back."
